Mount Deluxe is an independent brand strategy and design studio founded by Sarah Delany and Nik Payne in 2009.

Based in Auckland and Matakana, we help ambitious businesses and evolving places find clarity around what matters, what needs to change and what to do next. From there, good thinking becomes a brand that works in the real world.

When things are changing.

Your business may have evolved but its brand hasn’t. Two organisations might be coming together. A new development needs a name and story. Or something new has been bubbling away — a product, service or idea that needs shaping before it meets the world.

You don’t need to arrive with a fully formed brief. That is often the point. Before investing in an identity, website, packaging or campaign, the first job is to work out what you really need. And what you don’t.

Our role is to ask the right questions, get to the real issue and help you make confident decisions. Once the direction is clear, it can carry through strategy, naming, Brand Story, identity, packaging, communications, signage and rollout.

How we work.

You’ll work directly with the people doing the thinking and creating the work. That gives you access to brand strategy, creative direction, graphic design, production experience and practical problem-solving, without layers of account management or unnecessary agency fluff.

When additional expertise is needed, our trusted specialists are brought in while Mount Deluxe remains responsible for the direction and quality.
